Asked a question last year

how to clone the head node or save a server image ?

Where am I?

In Bright Computing, Inc. you can ask and answer questions and share your experience with others!

To clone a headnode, please refer to this section of a manual.

You may clone a headnode too new hardware by network PXEbooting the new hardware from the existing headnode and selecting the "Rescue" option.
After the new hardware boots into rescue mode, run the cm-clone-install command.
/cm/cm-clone-install --clone --hostname=new-hostname

To create an image of a headnode, we recommend using an imaging tool such as clonezilla etc.
